Thought for today:

The once thought Inconceivable, but which was predicted by a wise descendant of slavery, a human rights activist and a martyr,  Dr. Martin Luther King, has come to pass.  A man who inherited the best of Black and White, the colours that make the keys of the piano look so elegant and produce such good harmony has won the White House.  A progeny of slaves who were treated as chattels by their White masters, whose backs carried the scars of the whip, is now First Lady in the equivalent of what is the Queen of England’s Palace, and a symbol of world leadership, the WHITE HOUSE.

This signals that all men are brothers of the clod, endowed with the same potential; that we are all one, if only we can see; and that it heralds the DAY when all mankind of whatever race, colour or creed will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks, and “the earth will be filled with the glory of God, as the waters cover the sea.  The people of every ethnic group in this country have rallied to a good cause in a bond of brotherhood which augurs well for the next generation.
