Thou shalt not kill

It is hypocritical to say  that stem cell and abortion for whatever reason violate “Thou shalt not kill” when you are  sending our young men, the cream of the population and our hope for the future into battle to slaughter and be slaughtered, especially unjustified in an unprovoked preempted war.  Not only are many soldiers and innocent civilians killed, but many more are maimed, disfigured and disabled and hundreds of thousands have had to leave their homeland to seek refuge among friendly nations at great inconvenience to themselves and their hosts; and all this with the support of many born again Christians who profess to follow their Master who taught “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God”.

Those who are labelling nations as “axis of evil” and stereotype a particular religion as evil, and the adherents as terrorists, are like the pot calling the skillet black.  You cannot have a cigarette in your mouth and advise someone not to smoke.  By now every one should be aware of the root of terrorism; and it is not only one religious group that is terrorist, but much terrorism stems from injustice and discrimination among our fellow human beings.  So, those of you who are now plotting to attack and spread the carnage, you are well advised to desist as you will not be protecting yourself and your dear ones, but will be exposing them to greater danger.

However there is yet hope; the time may not be far off when all mankind (God’s children) made in the image of the one God will begin to see that all men are brothers, and, in fulfillment of holy writ, will “beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks” which is to say the endowments and gifts of Providence will be used as was intended for helping and not for destroying.
