“Do not wish to be anything but what you are, and try to be that perfectly.
St Francis De Sales.

All men are born equal, but not all are endowed with the same physical, mental or intellectual capacity. However, one can use whatever gifts one has to try to reach perfection. It is not the one that gives much from his abundance who is the better, but he that gives out of his necessity. You may not be good at anything but ploughing a field or digging drains or even sweeping, but do it as if you are going to paint a beautiful picture or write an inspired poem. Give of your best in whatever you do. You will reap the reward of what gold and silver cannot buy Character..

Well said, and a lot of people try, including yours truly.

However, citing four Luminaries, Socrates, Jesus, Gandhi, Dr. M.L.King, people who know that they were murdered while pursuing perfection, are scared to give their all. In addition to which, one gets laughed to death for being honest, anyway.

    Need another example?
In the 1970’s a German MD, AFTER RESEARCHING FOR YEARS, came up with medical cures for many instances of cancer. His life was threatened by the AMA, they also threatened to declare him a Schizophrenic, and he was subjected to a ruthless campaign of horror and other insults.

He literally left the US in tears, and for the same reasons could not publish his findings in any other country.

Believe it or not! And this is not from Ripley’s.

I still maintain, “Seek the Summit of Mt. Everest.”

  2. Thanks again Pat. Well said !
