Dear Me, please reveal your identity more clearly. I most heartily welcome you to my blog and would like to know about you. I am not in Guyana now. I am posting from Florida in the U.S. and am thrilled when someone who knows me shows up. I value your contribution and am looking forward to getting more from you. Enjoy each day; it is a gift from your Creator.

Thanks Pat for that response. You have surely clinched the nail driven in on the door of Mysticism. Jesus, the great mystic was revered by devotees of all the great religions. As regard the Three Wise Men, they were mystics from different countries and different persuasions, but they perceived the One who was to be the King among them.

Afterthought:

Whence the Three Wise Men, and why the tribute to the new born babe in Bethlehem ..., are Mystics connected?

Yogi Ramacharaka states in his book MYSTIC CHRISTIANITY that the mystics of the east, Tibet, Persia, India, etc., upon meeting with Jesus, instantly recognised in him a Master of Mystics and he was accorded immediate access to their esoteric scrolls and brotherhood.

In his Dicvoverie of Guiana he claimed to have seen people up the Orinico river as having their heads under their shoulders.

Ironically, what happened to his head in the Tower of London?

Thanks for your comments Pat. I should have mentioned also the belief of the Hindus In Gau Mata, Mother Cow which gives us milk for sustaining the young and the sick and for the production of ghee (clarified butter) dahi (yogurt), Kheer (boiled rice with milk, raisins or spices and sugar) and Paneer (homemade cheese). Even the offal is of great value. It is the best manure for plants. It is also said to have antiseptic value and is used , mixed with earth, for daubing the floors and walls of houses. When dried it is used as fuel for cooking.
Then there is Ganga Mata (Mother Ganges) whose water is said to remain pure, no matter what goes into it. The water is said to have medicinal properties. Pilgrims go everyday to the Ganges to dip and get purification.
Then, we have the greatest of all Mothers, DHARTEE MAATAA (MOTHER EARTH) which is the source of everything we get to make us happy and contented. But sad to say, it has been exploited and abused by the greedy few and the ignorant, resulting in the degradation of the environment. If this behaviour continues, we will have to expect much more of what we are getting now - more floods, earthquakes, huricanes and tornadoes. Our food and water supply also are being contaminated by the indiscriminate use of harmful chemicals sprayed from the air and on the land, and the sea is polluted by harmful effluents from the factories of big industries.
