Rich. I do not know who said that and what he believes is the reality of life. There is a Hindu prayer which goes:
Lead us from unreality to reality,
From darkness to light,
From death to immortality.
Philosophically speaking all the things that change and perish with time are unreal. That which is real is that which does not change , which is permanent and which will continue to remain. The spirit is real. It was there all the time; no matter whatever body it enters, when that body corrupts the spirit remains. So it behooves us to be aware of what we choose during our existence if we want as the writer says "I choose to live in reality". Living in reality makes for Peace, Love and Joy.

Nancy, the spelling of the fruit is GENIP. iI is a small round fruit, a drupe, about three quarters of an inch in diameter with a large seed covered with a layern of thin succulent pulp. The sweet variety is very enjoyable. I had a sweet variety in my yard and neighbours would come to get them. It bears once a year, but very abundantly.

Lorna, I do not think I know you, but I know your grandmother and her children. Perhaps ypu can refresh my memory with the names of some of your relatives, I always like to hear of Buxtonians. I have taught many of them in school. Nice to hear from you .
All the best.

I was at the CIMBUX Dinner Dance in 2003, when you were honoured alongside fellow Buxtonians John Carter and, if my memory serves me correctly, Eusi Kwayana. It was a privilege seeing you in person. You looked amazingly well for a man that age. I did hear my older relatives talk very well of you. Henny Lesfrance was my grandmother.
By the way, your sister, "Aunt" Rose was one of my neighbours at Buxton Front. She was one of the kindest persons I ever met.
Stay well!

It is fake! I think it is totally rendered in 3D.

Maybe even with a ready out-of-the-box renderer like Terragen... Look carefully: everything is anti-aliased - even the reflections. I deal with 3D and computing terrains look exactly that way =)

Funny, a prank.

Thakur, I believe it was a custom that obtained in India, because I read it where a Rani tied it in the wrist of a rival Raja and bound him to protect her. Th immigrants brought the custom here.
